“Sydney puts on a New Year’s Eve like nowhere else and with more than one million people travelling to the foreshore to watch the fireworks, a little planning goes a long way,” Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore AO said.

“Whether you’re committed to securing a family-friendly front row spot at one of the many free viewing areas at parks and headlands around the harbour or planning to go big with your booking, the official website has you covered.”

Register for free tickets at top viewing areas such as the Sydney Opera House Forecourt and the Cahill Expressway.

  • 7.30pm Smoking Ceremony
  • 8.30pm Sydney Harbour Bridge pylon projections and lighting effects begin
