Calling all young photographers: snap Sydney your way

We invite kids to grab a camera (or phone) and capture what life in the city looks like through their eyes.

Our Little Sydney Lives photography competition is now open to children aged 5 to 12, elevating creative, heartfelt snapshots of everyday life in Sydney.

From sparkling harbour views and buzzing city streets to colourful neighbourhoods, peaceful sunrises, friendly faces and small everyday adventures, this is a chance for young imaginations to shine.

Whether snapping photos at home, on the way to school or out exploring with family, we encourage entrants to get creative and tell their own stories through images.

A panel of judges will select up to 21 finalist images to be featured in a public exhibition at Customs House for up to one year, a rare and exciting opportunity for young photographers to see their work displayed in one of Sydney’s most loved cultural spaces.

Winners will be announced at the exhibition opening on 26 September. The winner will receive an OM System camera pack worth $2,199, and the runner up will receive an OM System camera pack worth $1,299.

Photos can be taken on a camera or phone, must be landscape orientation and no larger than 5MB.

Submissions close at 11:59pm, Sunday 17 May.
