Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary rode around Sydney’s bike lanes.
On Friday morning, Clover Moore, Lord Mayor of Sydney and City of Sydney employees showed Crown Princess Mary of Denmark around Sydney, as part of her first Australian tour in 10 years.
"No one looks good in a bike helmet, but safety first," Princess Mary said as she adjusted her helmet.
Princess Mary rode through Hyde Park and down to Customs House. There she met with the Lord Mayor and together took a trip on the light rail back to Sydney Town Hall.
Princess Mary said the transformation of the city was "amazing".
"It's wonderful to be here, it's wonderful to experience the new bike lanes."

Outside Sydney Town Hall, Clover Moore, Lord Mayor of Sydney presented Princess Mary with a gift – a book titled Creating a Liveable City which covers projects completed by the City of Sydney.
“Sydney has a special relationship with Denmark, from Princess Mary herself, to urbanist Jan Gehl’s work on our city’s long-term strategy, to more recent partnerships such as 3XN’s incredible new Quay Quarter Tower,” the Lord Mayor said.
“It was wonderful to host Princess Mary and the Danish delegation to celebrate some of the infrastructure and changes in Sydney they have helped inspire.”
