The City of Sydney will sell the properties at a discount from market value with the funds from each sale going to the affordable and diverse housing fund.
This will create more affordable and diverse housing across the local area through our grants program.
This expression of interest follows a recent Council resolution to find the right organisation to buy one or all of these properties.
The 4 available properties offer a range of housing options in Beaconsfield, Potts Point and Darlinghurst.
In Darlinghurst we are offering a row of 7 semi-detached heritage listed terraces. There are a mix of sizes including:
- 3 two-storey, two-bedroom terraces
- 3 single level one-bedroom terraces
- one single level two-bedroom terrace.
The properties need refurbishment and are close to the city.
In Beaconsfield we are offering a two-bedroom free standing brick and tile residence on Victoria Street. The property does not include onsite parking.
In Potts Point we are offering 2 one-bedroom units with balconies. They’re in a strata managed building on Springfield Avenue with no onsite parking.
One of the units is 56m² and needs full refurbishment.
The other unit is slightly smaller at 45m² and was refurbished in 2016.
