Help us count people sleeping rough in the city

Every year we conduct a street count in the City of Sydney local area.

The City of Sydney is calling for volunteers for the February 2025 street count of people sleeping rough.

We’re looking for at least 150 volunteers who will work across inner-city streets, parks and other public places.

Volunteers will be needed from 11:50pm on Monday 24 February until 4am on Tuesday 25 February.

All volunteers will be required to complete an online training session in the week before the street count.

The results from the street count help the City of Sydney track changes in numbers and campaign for ongoing service and policy responses to reduce homelessness.
